In my time reviewing adult products only a handful have ever felt natural. Not life-like (which I think is unobtainable) but intuitive enough that they seem to blend with your body and create a truly authentic sensation. Sliquid Naturals Satin is one of these products.
Sliquid produce pretty much all of my go-to lubricants so it should have come as no surprise to me just how exceptional this lubricant felt. Yet, somehow, I was still left blown away by just how genuine it felt; just how, well, natural it all was.
Sliquid Naturals Satin Lubricant
The Sliquid Natural Satin Lubricant is part of Sliquid’s wider range of Naturals lubricants. I call it a lubricant, it’s actually dubbed a ‘natural moisturiser’ by Sliquid and I can certainly feel why. This product works with the body on such a fundamental level that it really does set it apart from other lubricants. Still I’m going to call it a lubricant in this review, primarily for practical reasons. Sorry Sliquid.
This lubricant is water-based which means that it can be used with all condoms and with silicone sex toys. A lot of water-based lubricants have the downside of drying up quicker than silicone lubricants but I found Sliquid Satin to persist for an above average amount of time.
Sliquid Satin follows Sliquid’s high standards in terms of ingredients. It is 100% gluten, glcerin and paraben free as well as being totally vegan. It’s also hypoallergenic, non-toxic, pH balanced and pretty much perfect for anyone who values high-quality ingredients in their lube. Aloe Vera and Carrageenan are infused in the lubricant to give it its consistency while Vitamin E is included to nourish the skin. Usually I have a reaction to Aloe Vera but I’ve used this lubricant for a long time now without even so much as a sting. This leads me to believe that it will be fine for people with sensitive skin, which is fantastic news.
In terms of scent and taste Sliquid Satin is pretty neutral. There’s a very slight aqua scent when held close to the nose but it really is minute. Taste-wise it has a slight tang to it but nothing major. It wouldn’t interfere with oral sex at all and isn’t at all unpleasant. This makes Sliquid Satin suitable for those who struggle with fragranced lubricant or lubes with a harsh chemical taste.
It’s incredibly hard to describe just how Sliquid Satin feels. ‘Exceptional’ is the best word I can use but that doesn’t convey much so instead imagine this:
You click open the cap of your new lubricant, squirt it out of the body and are met with a product so delicate, so light, that it hardly feels like it’s on your fingers at all. Yet, despite this, it still has a smooth glide to it; a luxurious slickness that receptively responds to your touch and effortlessly spreads across your skin. It doesn’t stick, but neither does it run. Its consistency is exactly what you need. When applied to the genitals it doesn’t feel goopy or obtrusive. It’s simply there. Inconspicuously present; a natural extension of your body’s own desires.
That’s how Sliquid Satin feels to me. Well, it’s as close as I can get through words alone.
When I use this lubricant it hardly feels like I’ve applied anything at all. Sometimes I forget just how much I’ve applied until I touch my vulva and realize how wet I am. Oh, did I also mention that a small bottle of Sliquid Satin can go a long way? I am very generous with lube and yet it still flows readily from the bottle. I certainly feel like I’m getting my money’s worth.
I’ve used Sliquid Satin with dildos, vibrators (varying from gentle to power queen intense), and Mr. Peaches and it’s performed well in each of these situations. The buffer it provides for vibrators is very respectable and it works exceptionally for internal toys. It isn’t too heavy, which means it doesn’t feel excessive, but it still manages to provide the perfect amount of lubrication for easy insertion. Because of this I think this lube could work well for people who suffer with Vaginismus or people who suffer from vaginal dryness but dislike the consistency of conventional lubricants.
To me this lubricant is perfect. It works with my body in such a perfect unison that it’s going to be really hard not to use it all the time, every time. Alas this lubricant does have some downsides (though they’re few and far apart).
The biggest issue is perhaps this lubricant’s near lack of presence. It works to this lube’s benefit in many ways but others actually want to feel their lubricant; they value the goopiness of gel lubes or the sensation of a thin lube running down their thighs. For these people lubricant is part of the foreplay and Sliquid Satin may feel like it deprives them of this element. It simply merges too seamlessly to really hold the body’s attention in a meaningful way.
Because this lubricant is quite light it might not be appropriate for anal use either. Mr. Peaches uses it just fine but he doesn’t play with very big toys.
Overall I am incredibly pleased with Sliquid Satin and it might just be my new favourite lubricant. I’ve never had a lubricant blend so seamlessly with my body before and, because of this, I can highly recommend this lubricant to pretty much everyone.
Folks who want to feel their lubricant during use may be perturbed by the camo-esque ability of Sliquid Satin but, for most, I can imagine this lubricant will be a wonderful addition to their play sessions. This is certainly the case if you want a lubricant that can blend into your sex life with total ease.
Congratulations Sliquid; you knocked it out of the park yet again.
