Toy Review: The Avant D6 Electra Silicone Dildo with Suction Cup by Blush Novelties

It’s been a long time since I found myself craving something candy-like. The aesthetics of skittles or a Fruit Pastille Ice Pop rarely draws me in (no matter how good I am at sucking those things).

But when you make a colorful treat consisting of 8 inches of sculpted silicone?

Sign me up.

The Avant D6 Electra Silicone Dildo with Suction Cup by Blush Novelties

In all seriousness, though, how can one not be instantly drawn in by the colorful zing of the new Blush Novelties launches?

This is one of a few new wonderfully bright and bold offerings and I adore them all.

I’ve been in this industry for over 6 years now and, in the early days, I remember when we all got giddy at the idea of a mainstream sex toy coming in orange or green, let alone what we’ve got now.

Now you can literally buy rainbow-colored unicorn dildos and, if I’m being honest, they’re pretty damned good.

But the funny thing about this new range is that although it is undeniably colorful, classy, and visually appealing, it’s actually playing with a lot of the ‘vintage’ sex toy colors on the market.

I mean, just look at this dildo for a moment:

I love it when my dildos go with my tea cups.

What key colors are you seeing?

Pink, blue, and black: Three iconic sex toy colors.

Only Blush Novelties hasn’t opted for a single color: Instead they’ve gone for a stripy design, akin to a pair of long stripy socks.

This just goes to show you that it’s not what colors you use, but how you use them. It’s also great to see Blush Novelties playing around with their current designs but with different aesthetic options, after all ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.

When it comes to the Avant D6 you’re essentially looking at the Blush Novelties Rollo reskinned, which is probably the most gamer-based approach to sex toys that a company can take (something that I highly approve of, I might add).

This Rollo ‘reskin’ also comes in a D5 variation, which is known as the ‘Sin City’ color and is a striking variation or red, black, and white and is also gorgeous, but enough about the color, let’s get in to the specs.

The Avant D6 is a straight-shafted, chunky dildo, with pulsing veins, a semi-representational coronal ridge, and a 1.75 inch diameter. It focuses primarily on providing girth and a small amount of texture which prevents its shaft from feeling bland during use (far from it).

The Avant D6 itself is made from silicone, which is non-porous, phthalate-free, and completely body-safe. Silicone is increasingly becoming the go-to now for dildos (yay!) but, even among its silicone peers, this dildo feels impressively silky. Its surface is almost like if silk and velvet got together and had a child and then that child became an avid clone-a-willy enthusiast. It just feels so amazingly strokable.

This toy feels fantastic to stroke and to use.

When I feel the Avent D6 my mind goes to its immense potential in a harness, as a toy that draws in the recipient to stroke and caress it lovingly before use. If you and/or your partner/s are the type of individuals who gain arousal from the visual element of seeing people playing with your strap-on then you will definitely benefit to opting for a Blush Novelties toy, let me just put it that way.

Naturally, this silken matte texture does have drag to it and, given the size of this dildo, it’s perhaps prudent to take it with ample lubrication (natural or otherwise) but, once lubricated, it is very slick and receptive to sliding in and out of the body.

Don’t feel like you’ll be missing out on that texture or girth with lubricant, though: When this dildo is inserted you really do feel it filling you up. This isn’t necessarily just due to size, but also due to the firmness selected for this dildo. It has just enough squish to it that you’re going to feel it sliding in smoothly, but also enough firmness that your genitals are forever reminded of its measurements and subtle little variants in texture.

The bulging coronal ridge on this toy is also a hugely beneficial aspect of the design, and can be very easily felt when inserted. Typically, I might need to really wiggle a larger toy in order to get a real sense of what it feels like internally (my mind and senses going to my opening, rather than my G-Spot). Not so with this dildo: It is all present, all the time, and your G/P-Spot is not neglected by the bulging variations that Blush Novelties have opted for.

For me this toy felt wonderfully expansive and felt warm and smooth soon after insertion (something I welcome during these colder days). I could easily take the larger sensation of this dildo and translate it in to a fantasy in my mind. And, due to its only semi-representational design, I could either conjure up a specific human-based fantasy, or simply give myself over to the abstract sensations and allow my mind to weave its own way of reconciling the widening of my vagina and nudging of my G-Spot with its own rising sensuality.

The ridge and texture serve this toy well.

The result, as you can imagine, is often very strong orgasms with product clenches that are challenged by the size a firmness of the dildo and thus enhanced even further. It’s almost as if this toy is my own personal climax cheer-leading squad – giving me one more hurrah just when I think I’m about to buckle. God bless the results this provides.

The suction cup for this dildo also works very well, and I’ve even had a few moments where I’ve grabbed for it only to be yanked back abruptly, and I deadlift in my free-time for fun.

My only big/huge/why-dildo-why? gripe against the Avant D6 is that it is a magnet for all sorts of gunk, dust, hair, and debris. And when you have a toy this colorful it really shows.

Thankfully, this toy is so easy to scrub clean that this is mostly an issue of visuals. If I’m rocking this wonderfully jazzy cock with a partner I don’t want them to come in for a taste only to find it disheveled with the dust of my daily life. Just the thought makes me sad.

But, as I said, this is a visual battle and one that can be resolved by having a damp, reuseable bamboo cloth to hand: because I’m that kind of obnoxious eco-friendly Domme.

Final Thoughts

If you have a Rollo then you already know that this toy is great, and you’ll likely not need to splash out the extra money to purchase this toy. However, if you don’t have a Rollo then congratulations! This toy is awesome for medium girth-lovers, has a great coronal ridge, and offers some visually appealing color options for anyone who wants to fill their dildo drawer with every exciting color variation they can find.

The Avant D6 is a happy addition to my own sex toy collection and I am so thrilled that it exists (and to find another straight-shafted toy that can really deliver).

Huge thank you to Blush Novelties for inventing this gorgeous-looking creation, and for making it just as striking in terms of sensation too.
