Toy Review: Colours Pleasures Pride Edition Rainbow Silicone Dildo 6 Inch

Ever since this glorious dildo was released on to shelves I have gawked at it like the dorky little queerlet I am.

It’s pride-based colours, it’s shape, and, oh my, its girth. I was smitten.

Okay, mostly it might have been the colours…entirely the colours…but everything else looked good too.

The Colours Pleasures Pride Edition Rainbow Silicone Dildo 6 Inch was literally a complete package and I wanted to sample it.

Imagine the huge platonic hug I want to give, then, for the Betty’s Toy Box team – who don’t only provide fantastic interviews, but also make sure that I can share an appraisal of the toys I’ve personally been lusting after.

So, did the Colours Pleasures Pride Edition Rainbow Silicone Dildo 6 Inch live up to my estimations? We both know what I’m going to say…

The Colours Pleasures Pride Edition Rainbow Silicone Dildo 6 Inch

The Colours Pleasures Pride Edition Rainbow Silicone Dildo is a realistic dildo in many ways save for one – this dildo features different silicone colours in order to celebrate LGBTQI culture.

This dildo is everything my queer heart wants (visually).

All of the colours are represented, which is important because they all have meaning:

Red for life.

Orange for healing.

Yellow for sunlight.

Green for nature.

Blue for peace & harmony.

And Purple for spirit.

Many people still aren’t aware of the particulars of the pride flag, so it’s praiseworthy that this dildo sticks to the right colours and order for correct queer representation.

The dildo itself is made of silicone, making it non-porous, phthalate-free, and completely body-safe. The silicone itself isn’t necessarily matte but neither is it glossy (at all). It’s much more of a grippy silicone which, as you could imagine, requires quite a bit of lubricant for easy insertion.

The need for lubricant is further enhanced by the sheer size of this dildo (though, if you’d believe it, there is also a size up). The Colours Pleasures Pride Edition Rainbow Silicone Dildo has 6 insertible inches but the total dildo is actually 8.3 inches in height. The maximum diameter of this dildo is also a whopping 2.3 inches, meaning that if you want to celebrate gay pride you might want to train your girth tolerance.

2.3 inches is above my typical limits, but I have been expanding that recently and I’ll be damned if I wasn’t going to take pride in that with a pride toy.

Granted, with an extreme amount of realistic texture offered to it (such as veins, skin folds, and, various little quirks and wrinkles) this dildo is a challenge even for those who clock their limit at 2.3 inches on the dot.

The texture is highly appreciated.

This was, to me, amazing. I adore texture and the Colours Pleasures Pride Edition Rainbow Silicone Dildo makes sure that every little crease and swelling counts, and this dildo really does swell.

Expansion and extreme girth are the penchant of this prideful product and those who love filling will find that this toy may be a most gratifying experience.

In a smart call, most of the texture for this toy is also near the top, after a smooth head that allows for an initially kind insertion.

I can’t say that this toy gave me much in the way of persistent G-Spot action, but it is rather straight and consistently bulging. This stole all of the attention away from the G-Spot but I didn’t mind because, my vagina was swelling and stinging with stretching glee (in a very agreeable manner).

Whenever I went to take a little bit more of this toy in its texture would augment the sensation and bring me closer to the verge of a strong orgasm.

As it stands, I do find that this makes the cusp of climax the most gratifying moment of using this toy – where everything has been built up to a release but is slightly stalled via the vaginal muscles’ attempts to grasp and contract around the overwhelming surface of this toy.

That’s not to say the orgasms aren’t good – they are – but they also pale in comparison to that moment of pre-release.

These balls are a colourful addition to this toy.

Another aspect of this toy that I really enjoyed was its weightiness, caused by the sheer volume of silicone used to craft this prideful phallus.

This is a clear bonus for me but I do understand that it will make it awkward (or perhaps impossible) to use solo for some.

The heft of this toy also means that if trying to use this toy with a harness then you’ll need a sturdy one to hand.

The suction cup base of this dildo is competent but nothing exceptional. The balls of this toy also make it anal-friendly and generally add a bit more flare to it.

Still, it’s fair to say that unless you’re naturally inclined to size then this toy will not be a good fit for beginners. It’s also completely inaccessible for those who generally prefer to linger under 2 inches (quite a few people, to my knowledge).

This is very sad and almost symbolically bittersweet – as if pride is simply not accessible for all. Perhaps that’s me being a bit too poetic, but I do still wish a smaller toy existed.

In terms of cleaning this toy the texture doesn’t detract much from it, though the colour may make detecting any stealthy gunk a bit of a challenge for some. Rainbows are magical, but they also steal the eye’s attention in most instances.

I wish I could say that my faults with this dildo end here but, truth be told, there are a few small niggles that, when added together. The texture of this dildo, though nice for simple insertion and wriggles, is a bit of a hindrance for smooth thrusting motions, especially when combined with the surface of the silicone. Its lack of G-Spot/P-Spot action (having only the slightest curve) will be a huge turn-off for many and the balls, although nice, make a bulky toy even more awkward to use solo if not utilizing the suction cup.

Final Thoughts

All these aspects come together to make a toy that I love in terms of appearance, appreciate in regard to sensation, but feel with be an inaccessible niche for so many people, who may have otherwise found the toy appealing.

The solution here is to create a smaller version, but the company instead decided to go larger. But this really is where knowing your body comes in to play.

If you have read this, like what you’ve heard and want to give this toy a try then I can vouch for its orgasms. It’s the Colours Pleasures Pride Edition Rainbow Silicone Dildo’s diversity that is ironically lacking.
