Sex Toy Review: The So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug

Booties, in general, are absolutely divine, and they deserve all the loving they can be afforded. And what better way than to adorn one’s anal opening with a sparkling gem, framed in purple silicone? I’ll tell you: doing all that while also making that decorative feature a practical and enjoyable butt plug which will stimulate, excite, and generally tease the anal canal.

Oh yes, now that’s a winner.

The gem-based design is quite common among butt plugs, but that’s no reason for So Divine to shy away from their own attempt. And So Divine certainly hasn’t been shy with the introduction of this colorful plug—which will arrive to you in discreet packaging accompanied by a rock candy encouraging you to enjoy your experiences.

But can the So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug deliver on the pleasure that it promises? Read on to find out.

The So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug

The So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug is a butt plug intended for the anal initiative and everything on its product page indicates this. So Divine have been kind enough to give instruction on how best to start using anal toys (slowly, gently, and with lots of suitable lube), a tip on anal toy safety (flared bases are a must!), and a brief breakdown of their product. However, as I assume you are here for my words then allow me to give my own synopsis.

The So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug is a modest plug, not the smallest on the market but it’s certainly far from the largest either.

Its precise measurements are 3 inches in total (2.5 of which are insertable) and with a circumference of 4 inches at its widest point. Thankfully the So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug does not start so starkly and, instead, follows the standard design of being thoughtfully tapered at its starting point and then gently easing to a broader form. It then dips back to a small neck which helps keep it comfortably in place before meeting with its flared base (in theory).

As its anal guide might suggest, safety is a priority for So Divine and so the So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug has been designed with safety in mind, right down to its materials. Despite being highly affordable (under £15) the So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug is made from a luxurious matte silicone which serves to feel just as decadent as the finest silicone on the market.

Its neck is flexible and has some give to it, but its main body is firm, sturdy and thus easy to insert. Its tip is almost tapered to an arrow’s point but never feels harsh enough to be considered intrusive…but that doesn’t mean it’s comfortable either.

On the contrary, the first time Mr Peaches inserted this (quite unassumingly, I might add) he was left yelping with pain and shouting “Nope! Nope! Nope!” quite firmly. Needless to say, the plug did not stay in for long.

But first time uses are never to be taken as more than that and we were both receptive to trying this toy again. It was after the third pained time that Mr Peaches firmly discarded the So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug with no intention of trying it again.

This can happen, and it’s not always the fault of the toy. In this case I’m perplexed by the pained reaction of Mr Peaches because the plug itself is nothing out of the ordinary. Whether this is a good thing or not is up to you—in that this plug is no more exceptional than any other of its kind. But, then again, it is affordable, safe, and beautiful to boot, so can one really complain about its rather average design?

In this instance, Mr Peaches credited the neck of this toy with his struggles. For him it was too short to allow the toy to comfortably sit inside of him, which meant that it was painfully lingering at his threshold, never truly sitting in a position that would allow it to get beyond what seemed to be a painful brink for his body.

In terms of other downsides, it’s hard to say. When a toy is average there is very little that can be spoken in pro or con of it, and this is very much the case with the So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug.

One thing I will say is that usually silicone plugs retain a slight odor after use, but the So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug did not seem to suffer with this misfortune at all. This could be due to the short period that they were in use but it is, regardless, quite a relief.

The So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug is also very easy to clean in general and doesn’t grab up dust and hair like some silicone toys do. Aaand somehow I’m still on its pros. Take that as you will.

Final Thoughts

Overall the So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug failed to excite (or even provide a comfortable fit for) Mr Peaches’ booty, but given the very familiar design that it has I cannot see it causing such distress for everyone.

That being said, due to the pain it induced I can’t, in good conscious, recommend this toy to beginners. So Divine are right; anal toys when used in the right manner can provide a wonderful, safe, and pain-free experience. I would hate for anyone’s first experience with a butt plug to be painful. Just the thought is enough to make me hesitant.

But if you’ve used plugs before and you know that this design does work for you then the So Divine Sweet Sensation Booty Plug is as good a plug as any and incredibly affordable to boot(y).
