Product Review: The Aslan Leather Vegan Jag Strap On Harness

I screamed with delight when I saw that Uberkinky were stocking the Aslan Leather Vegan Jag Strap On Harness. I mean, what self-respecting vegan kinkster wouldn’t be bouncing up and down in glee at this prospect? I practically had to put a sports bra on with the amount I was jumping for joy (got to keep the pups secure, after all).

Why was this the case?

Well, for those not in the know, Aslan are a big name when it comes to pegging and strap on harnesses. Their harnesses are iconic for their comfort, style, and practicality, all wrapped in to one neat package (which, yes, can also be used for packing too).

The Jaguar is their ultimate harness, and the Aslan Leather Vegan Jag Strap On Harness finally brings this harness to all of us eager vegans who like to avoid animal abuse while indulging in our desires.

But did I need that sports bra in the end, or did my jiggle diminish once I started trying this harness for myself? Read on to find out.

The Aslan Leather Vegan Jag Strap On Harness

The first thing to know about the Aslan Leather Vegan Jag Strap On Harness is that it’s scary accurate.

 I’m not kidding.

Coming complete with its own Aslan Leather care label and a leather aroma, I honestly had to do a double take and strongly scrutinize the harness for the tell-tale signs of faux leather when it arrived. Thankfully this item is vegan (…I think) but the resemblance is uncanny. This is incredibly impressive for a harness made from plastic and rubber.

This harness is very leather-like and very effective.

‘Plastic and rubber’ may not sound appealing at first but the Aslan Leather Vegan Jag Strap On Harness is free from phthalates and BPA and has been worked to feel wonderfully smooth and supple against the skin while also feeling sturdy as all hell. This is the type of harness you put on when you’re a beautiful sunflower who cares about the environment but also wants to look (and fuck) like a bad ass bitch.

Unlike the original leather Jaguar, the Aslan Leather Vegan Jag Strap On Harness also comes with the added benefit of being water resistant, allowing for easy cleaning. It also means that those who gush or use a lot of lube can wear this harness comfortably without worrying about the aftermath or any potential harm that it might cause for the harness—Aslan have got you covered.

This harness has a detachable O-Ring which is very easy to button in and remove so that you can replace it with your own O-Rings. The standard inner diameter of the ring included is 1.77 inches, but there’s nothing to stop your from buying more O-Rings and making the necessary adjustments to accommodate a lot of different dildos.

One thing I really love about the Aslan Leather Vegan Jag Strap On Harness is that it has an open O-section behind the O-Ring, allowing you to put the dildo all the way through (or experiment with strapless strap-ons or the Vixen Mustang Royale or Vixenaire) if you desire. Not every harness does this so it’s always worth noting when it’s an option.

Counterbalancing this, though, is the lack of a bullet sleeve. This is a bit of a downer but is completely understandable considering the material feel of the main harness section—which is notably rubbery, flexible-but-firm, and does take a little bit of getting used to if you’ve previously stuck to fabric harnesses. This adjustment will come from the slightly limited malleability of this section, which doesn’t quite hug up against the skin like fabric, but it doesn’t detract from use and is soon forgotten when in the swing of things.

The straps can be easily adjusted (but may require some prep before use).

The leg and waist straps, however, feel amazing, have a matte surface and hug against the skin with all of the security that you would want from a harness. The adjustable sections use buckles for the waist and D-Rings for the leg straps which are easy enough to adjust. That being said, I did find the leg straps to be a bit trickier than the waist straps. They slide comfortably in to place and stay firm once adjusted but you may want to adjust them well prior to use so that you don’t end up fiddling around during the heat of the moment.

In a clever move from Aslan, the leg straps on this harness can be adjusted to alter from a jock style harness to a G-string style in a matter of minutes. And, of course, there’s access to the vaginal opening for fluid ease of access.

Coming with a lifetime guarantee from Aslan, this harness also has extra assurance in terms of its longevity, which is fantastic because I want this harness in my life forever.

For me it’s not necessarily as comfortable as some fabric harnesses, but it offers more than enough perks to counteract this slight difference in comfort. It’s incredibly secure during use; I never once felt like this harness would let me down and this allowed me to go full throttle with it. The rubber of the main harness section also did manage to move against my body in a way that added to my arousal (which was one of the promises of the original Aslan Harness), and I felt like an absolute vegan rock star when sporting the faux leather look.

All of this was incredibly self-affirming and allowed for practical use combined with a psychological wild ride of empowerment.

Downsides? Once you get over the initial shock of the similarities, this harness is obviously not leather and does lack some of the natural benefits of leather. This could bother hard core leather-lovers but, to be completely honest, it didn’t detract from the experience for me at all.

There’s an argument to be made that this is because I actually wanted it to not be leather, but I stand by the overall feel of this harness.

The O-Ring attachment section also lacks the full range of flexibility that I would hope to see in a harness. There’s only so large or small that you can go with adding your own O-Ring and this is an issue for those who like size extremes.

And, lastly, it should be said that although this harness comes in two different sizes (small fits hip sizes 26 – 44 inches, large fits hip sizes 36 – 56 inches) it still doesn’t run the full spectrum of body types and might leave some potential users pining for a perfect fit. For my slim frame the small fit fine but I can’t help but wonder how I would have felt back when my body was a firm plus size.

Final Thoughts

Overall the downsides of the Aslan Leather Vegan Jag Strap On Harness are dwarfed by the sheer reliability and sexiness of this outstanding vegan product.

Most people who purchase this harness will not be disappointed in the slighted, as Aslan have managed to tick almost all of the boxes required to create everything a user might want in a harness. Two different sizes offer users options, as does the detachable O-Ring section and overall it shows that Aslan really knows their stuff when it comes to harnesses.

I would highly recommend the Aslan Leather Vegan Jag Strap On Harness to pretty much anyone and everyone who enjoys strap on sex and even consider it superior to the original, due to its water resistance.
