Toy Review: The Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo

Silicone dildos are the safe go-to for most individuals. They’re non-porous (which minimizes the risk of infection), and phthalate-free (lacking in pretty much all nasty chemicals), in addition to being latex-friendly and incredibly easy to clean. Soap or toy cleaner, water, and it’s a done deal.

But, with so much variety out there it’s hard to decide which silicone dildo is right for each individual.

As choices go, the Sportsheets Skyn Dildo provides a very strong contender for easy strap on and G-Spot fun, proving just why silicone usually gets top marks against so many adult product reviewers. Not only is this toy an absolute beauty but its shape facilitates everything you might expect it would with very minimal downsides.

Three cheers for silicone!

The Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo

The Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo is a standard silicone dildo with a flared base making it suitable for use with a harness or for anal sex. It’s designed to be compatible with most Sportsheets harnesses, making it useable with most of the range and creating a comprehensive Sportsheets service.

This is the dildo equivalent of ‘a stunner’.

The dildo itself is 6.5 inches and has a 1.25 inch diameter, making it rather easy to take (although complete beginners to penetration may still find its size to be a bit much and might be better suited for trying out a slimmer starter toy).

The silicone used for the Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo is termed as hypoallergenic too which is perfect for anyone who has concerns about sensitive skin or unwanted material reactions.

In terms of aesthetics I’m absolutely blown away by the brilliant violet marbling of the Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo, which is near-hypnotic with its subtle shimmer and rippling lines. I can’t honestly do the effect on this dildo justice, and neither can my photographs, but they do a better job than my words at least so voila:

Stunning.

Gorgeous, right?

That subtle curvature of the Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo left me feeling dubious at first. Would it really be able to do anything? I did have my doubts.

It’s helped along with a reasonable amount of curvature which helps to hit the G-Spot and P-Spot. The silicone itself is smooth and glossy. It clings to the skin when dry but add a little lubricant (water-based or natural) and it glides without hindrance.

I’ve found that I only need to use a little lube to get this effect, and it certainly makes the Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo great for anal use. When doing anal you’ll want a thicker lubricant, of course, but the glossy form of the Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo is very complimentary to any form of penetration.

So, too, is the density of the Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo, which is firm with a little bit of give. It never feels as rigid as something like glass or metal but it does have enough unyielding bulk to it that you don’t have to worry about the dildo flopping off in awkward angles or hitting the wrong angle due to its softness.

As it turns out, this firmness is exactly what makes that subtle curvature of the Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo’s head work.

Like I said, I wasn’t entirely sure exactly what this dildo could do for me which would make it stand out. But the gentle bump of this dildo’s head combined with its firmness allows it to essentially prod up against the G-Spot and semi-hook itself in to a smooth but tugging position which keeps a subtle yet noticeably persistent grip on my vaginal wall and almost lulls my G-Spot into a surprisingly strong orgasm.

This head works.

These orgasms have what starts as a gentle build-up (almost intimate in some ways) before peaking in an incredibly intense swell of sensations. It’s almost as if the subsequent muscle spasms are similar to the marble surface of this toy in some ways—rippling, stunning, and with just a tad of a shimmer to them.

I found each orgasm with this dildo was prolonged to some extent and they didn’t disappoint once, although there was sometimes a build-up to them, depending on how much texture my body was craving on any given day. There’s no denying that this toy can be a slow burn if you’re used to more bumps, ridges, or nodule’s on your dildo. Equally if you like a prominent coronal ridge and there’s really no compromising on that point then there’s no need to go grabbing this dildo any time soon.

There are very few objective downsides to this dildo. The most glaring one is that its firmness can cause some pain if used over a long time with a harness. Bumping and grinding when a firm dildo is doing the same isn’t always preferable and can be a downright turn-off for some individuals.

It can grab dust and hair but it’s so easy to clean that this is very much a non-issue.

The biggest issue I can perceive is if you wanted a representational strap-on. Obviously this isn’t the dildo for such a task but, again, that’s immediately apparent and so very much a moot point.

Near-perfection is pearlescent it seems.

Final Thoughts

Really you just can’t beat this dildo in terms of simple and effective G and P-Spot stimulation. It’s body-safe, firm in both form and execution, and has the perfect curve and subtle shaping to allow for a gentle but undeniably effective experience time-and-time again.

When writing reviews for such toys it’s often hard to know what to say rather than ‘It’s good’ but ‘good’ is a rather subjective term, and not everyone will appreciate what this dildo has to offer. Rather, I would say that this dildo is ‘effective’. It has a purpose in mind and it’s well-executed to undertake that purpose without any hindrance or glaring flaws.

Whether or not the effect it is going for is to your taste is very much down to personal preference but if you like how this dildo looks, or crave that smoother experience, then I can highly recommend the Sportsheets Skyn Silicone Dildo and have no hesitations in doing so.

Recommend to:

People who like firmer silicone.

People who like glossy silicone.

People who like subtle curves.

Do Not Recommend to:

People who like softer silicone.

People who like matte silicone.

People who prefer lots of texture.

Firm silicone and a nice curve sounds heavenly. It helps that this is a gorgeous dildo! I really like that the dildo’s head is broad enough to provide broad stimulation to the g-spot. My first g-spot toy was pinpoint and to this day I don’t understand that design!

    • I don’t get that logic either! But, yes, this dildo has a very lovely head, nice and broad.
