I’ve never been the type of person who has an abundance of natural lubricant. I can produce what many may consider an adequate amount but I don’t accept ‘adequate’ when it comes to my sexual pleasure, so I pretty much always use lubricant during my sex sessions.
Sometimes this means enough lube to get the toys sliding or the condom gliding. Sometimes I prefer something thicker or like having more so that I’ve got a buffer between myself and powerful sex toys. However up until this point I’ve never really used a lubricant for the sheer sake of being ‘wet’. That isn’t until I tried the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant.
Made for users with sensitive skin (i.e. ‘Me in a nutshell’) the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant doesn’t just lubricate—it saturates. During my entire testing experience I never once ‘used’ WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant, because the moment I started squirted it out into my palm I was immersed in this lubricant instead and found myself diving deep into the sensations it had to offer.
About Planet Earth
Planet Earth started in 2000 as a mail order business with a single product to promote. That product was the VigRX and Planet Earth managed to successfully introduce it to Europe before expanding outwards and growing their business.
I remember reading the ETO Magazine for this month and seeing that the Slube founder said that if stuck on a desert island he would smuggle the Planet Earth people in because they ‘would do anything to help you’.
I’ve personally found this to be the case too and consider the people over at Planet Earth to represent some of the best examples of camaraderie that the adult industry has to offer.
If you’re a company and decide to work with Planet Earth then I have no doubt you’ll be in good hands.
Now, on to the review!
The WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant
In terms of water-based lubricant the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant markets itself specifically towards the body-conscious lubricant user. This lubricant is glycerine-free and paraben-free, in addition to being free from sugars, glycols, and gluten. This means that most people will find the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant a pleasant lubricant and shouldn’t experience discomfort.
However for those who are particularly sensitive the ingredients for the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant are as follows:
Water, PEG, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polysorbate-20, Sodium Benzoate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Triethanolamine, Citric Acid, Carbomer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract, Trifolium Pratense (Clover) Flower Extract, Ascorbic Acid.
As you can see ‘Naturals’ doesn’t necessarily mean natural in this instance, and there are quite a few ingredients compared to some truly purist lubricants. Still, I personally experienced no irritation with the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant and that’s always a good sign.
In order to keep things safe for sensitive skin WET have made the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant hypoallergenic and ultra-light in consistency. What does this mean during use? Well, it means that the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant is…wet. Incredibly wet. In fact I would say that this is the ‘wettest’ lubricant I have ever used.
Sliquid may have the word ‘slick’ but the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant just well and truly claimed the word ‘wet’ from all other water-based lubricants.
This does also mean that this lubricant is incredibly thin yet, oddly, although this lubricant is thin and literally ‘wet’ this lubricant never feels watered down or overly watery. Instead this lubricant makes me feel wet in the sensual sense. As in sopping wet. Gushing. When I use this lubricant it spills down my thighs and feels like I’ve saturated myself in my own free-flowing fluids. As someone who doesn’t usually feel this way I cannot get enough of the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant and use it more to immerse myself in my own little fantasy. But placing fantasy to one side this lubricant still performs very well.
This lubricant is long-lasting, can be revitalized with the addition of some more water, provides an ample amount of slide, and is incredibly easy to clean off after use (yes, even when I’ve practically painted my inner thighs with it). These are all clear bonus points for people who want a hydrating, thin, water-based lubricant which can and will perform.
This lubricant also has a very minimal odor—being near non-detectable even when held up close to the nose.
When it comes to taste this lubricant is a little bit odd. For me it has a gentle chemical tang but also a flavour which tasted like cake icing if the icing lacked sugar. Hard to envision, I know, but that’s what clearly sprung to mind the moment I lapped this lubricant up. Because of this the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant should be safe for oral use but isn’t exactly ideal for it. Thankfully WET actually has its own flavoured lubricants, including a Naturals one in strawberry flavour.
The WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant also comes in a very nice bottle with a cap that allows for easy application and seals up securely after use. For a lubricant that is so runny a good cap is essential so I appreciate the fact that WET hit the nail on the (bottle) head in this instance.
Now in terms of downsides this lubricant does have a few and they’re pretty much what you’d expect.
Firstly in terms of buffers for powerful sex toys this lubricant doesn’t offer as much as a thicker or slicker lubricant might. Granted, it does add some (more than I expected) but it’s not optimized for this so I wouldn’t recommend it. I especially wouldn’t recommend it if you’re trying to insert girthy, grabby silicone dildos either or dildos with a lot of texture because it just will not work.
Along the same lines this lubricant is also a poor choice for anal toys. Y’all booty fans will need a thicker lube.
Which brings us nicely on to the topic of personal preference—namely that if you like thick or gel-based lubricants then you should consider the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant to the antithesis to what you like in a lube. If you know this is you then I wouldn’t recommend the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant.
People who like really long sessions (without the need to rehydrate your lube) may also find the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant a bit lacking, as I personally found that you needed a fair amount in order to keep it going for very long sessions. Then again that suited me just fine considering just how much of this lube I willingly splurged all over my body with each use.
And that leads me to my final downside to this lubricant. More of a personal point than anything else: This lubricant is so addictive for gushing roleplays that it’s hard not to use over half the bottle in just a few uses!
This lubricant worked on multiple levels for me—creating an immersive experience which heightened my arousal, made me feel empowered, and gave me experiences that I could not naturally replicate. All of these are fantastic but I understand that this won’t be everyone’s experience.
Thankfully for those using this as a straight-up water-based lubricant then the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant is still a really good option which will last for a reasonable time, cleans up well, and is compatible with sensitive skin.
If this appeals to you (or if you want to get absolutely soaked like me) then I can certainly recommend the WET Naturals Beautifully Bare Lubricant. If not then at least WET has many other lubricants to offer you.
People who like feeling WET.
People with sensitive skin.
People who need an easy clean up.
Do Not Recommend to:
People who prefer a thick or gel-like lubricant.
People who like ‘Naturals’ to mean minimal ingredients.
People looking for an anal lubricant.
