Toy Review: The Satisfyer Pro 2 (Updated)

Looking at this review title you may be asking yourself ‘Is there even a point reviewing the Satisfyer Pro 2 anymore?’ And, no, this isn’t just because the tremendous effects of the Satisfyer Pro 2 are so well renowned that almost the entire adult community knows of its prowess. It’s also because regular viewers of mine may remember that I already reviewed the Satisfyer Pro 2 back when it was released.

However times change and so do products, at least when proactive companies such as Satisfyer are involved.

Why Re-Review This Product?

Not too long after launching the Satisfyer Pro 2, Satisfyer did a truly wonderful thing—they actually listened to reviewer and customer feedback when it came to the downsides of their toy. As such Satisfyer took the time to rehaul and rerelease the Satisfyer Pro 2 with modified features that responded to many of the major issues that critics (including myself) had of the original model.

There is no doubt in my mind that this was the right decision to make by Satisfyer. As a reviewer I’m always hoping that a company will take on what myself and consumers have to say and use our collective feedback to improve upon their products. Satisfyer have done just that with the Pro 2 and in a timescale that is pretty reasonable.

Satisfyer have transformed the Pro 2, keeping its look but changing other features.
Satisfyer have transformed the Pro 2, keeping its look but changing other features.

Still the rerelease of the Satisfyer Pro 2 (under the same name as well) also comes with its own troubles. The first is that it makes large swathes of my original review completely null and void (a good thing, in the grand scheme of things), the second is that purchasers of the original Satisfyer Pro 2 may find themselves wondering if it’s worth sticking to their own model or getting an update (not as good a dilemma to have). While the Satisfyer Pro 2 is brilliantly accessible compared to something like the Womanizer it’s still not cheap so justifying an additional purchase of a toy that looks identical to your own is certainly a hard purchase to justify.

Additionally those who tried and disliked the original Satisfyer Pro 2 may wonder if this toy is worth reattempting now that it’s potentially addressed their initial complaints and concerns.

Put simply is the Satisfyer Pro 2 worth the purchase for those who already own the first version of it?

In addition to providing a general overview of what the Satisfyer Pro 2 has to offer I hope that I can address some of these concerns and help you decide your answer to that question.

The Satisfyer Pro 2 (Updated)

As a general overview the Satisfyer Pro 2 is one of now many suction-based sex toys which have recently flooded the adult market and, in my humble opinion, it is the best one available. Priced very modestly at £69.95 over at Shop Naughty (and on sale for £54.95 at the time of this review) the Satisfyer Pro 2 allows people to explore this amazing and distinct form of stimulation without having to worry about a triple-digit price tag.

Compared to its competitors the Satifyer Pro 2 provides the best overall experience for its price tag.

Despite this affordability the Satisfyer Pro 2 is still a luxury toy and has most of the associate perks. Granted, it doesn’t come with a storage bag, but it is 100% waterproof, USB rechargeable, and provides a whopping 11 different intensities. A magnetic charging system makes the Satisfyer Pro 2 very easy to charge and its head has a silicone nozzle which is easily removable, allowing you to thoroughly clean your product before and after every use.

This smooth silicone nozzle, coupled with the firm main body of the Satisfyer Pro 2 makes this toy completely non-porous, phthalate-free and body-safe. The silicone used for the suction area of the Satisfyer Pro 2 is wonderfully delicate and smooth to the touch but still has enough firmness to allow it to create the vacuum needed for the Satisfyer Pro 2 to work its magic. This balance means that people should experience any discomfort when applying the Satisfyer Pro 2, even if the toy is not lubricated to provide an extra buffer. This has personally been my experience—as I’ve tried the Satisfyer Pro 2 both with and without lube and found both styles of masturbation to be incredibly comfortable. Then again it was hard to judge this at times considering that as soon as the Satisfyer Pro 2 made contact I was plunging head first into an ocean of multiple orgasms and seemingly unending muscle contractions…

Such is the marvel of the Satisfyer Pro 2: This toy can take most people and bring them to orgasm so swiftly that there’s sometimes not even time to process what’s happening.

The Sensations & Body Compatibility

The Satisfyer Pro 2 achieves this amazing outcome (with a big-O) by creating a suction effect. This aims to mimic oral sex but really provides its own unique form of stimulation that shouldn’t have to be compared to human sex acts. The Satisfyer Pro 2’s stimulation stands out as exceptional in its own right and it’s a toy that I feel privileged to own.

Although the main stimulation of the Satisfyer Pro 2 is suction I personally find that there’s a lot more going on underneath that nozzle to get my clit going from a timid little pea to a wild, swollen orgasm machine in less than a minute (and for me this is guaranteed. Always under a minute. No exceptions). Yes, there is definitely suction there, and it does feel like a slight tugging combined with a mild whooshing sensation. However what really tips me over the edge is the undulating sensation that the Satisfyer Pro 2. It reminds me of the pitter-patter of little feet or the rhythmic chug of an old steam engine translated into a tangible sensation that my body can feel.

This is where the magic happens.
This is where the magic happens.

The Satisfyer Pro 2 is the little engine that can and I return to it time and time again as a result.

If I’m having a crappy day or my other toys just aren’t doing it for me when it comes to reaching a climax I know I can always grab my Satisfyer Pro 2 and it will produce and orgasm for me. And this is both a good thing and a bad thing.

Y’see when I’m using the Satisfyer Pro 2 I’m very aware of just how removed my orgasm is from the typical build-up that I’ve come to expect all my life. With the Satisfyer Pro 2 I’m not having orgasms—I’m being given orgasms by the toy, often in multiples, often in quick succession.

For some this is absolutely amazing, game-changing, and will redefine their relationship with their body (it certainly did mine). For others this disconnect is the most unsettling and intrusive experience they’ve ever had with a toy. There is a possibility that you’ll instead be indifferent and consider yourself a ‘Meh’ user but from my personal experience and what I’ve heard others say the Satisfyer Pro 2 is a divisive toy. Most people either love it or hate it and because the Satisfyer Pro 2 produces such stand-out stimulation it’s usually hard to tell where you’ll fall on the spectrum until you’ve tried it yourself.

My guideline would be that if you like clitoral stimulation, like to get off fast, like suckling sensations during oral sex, or like rapidly tapping your clit to reach orgasm then you’ll most likely enjoy the Satisfyer Pro 2.

If you like a slow build-up, dislike oral sex altogether (or prefer long, lapping motions), and generally avoid directly stimulating your clitoris then the Satisfyer Pro 2 may not be right for you. Then again I generally dislike pin-point stimulation and yet go ga-ga for the Satisfyer Pro 2 so there are still exceptions to these recommendations.

A removable silicone head makes the Satisfyer Pro 2 easy to clean and share.
A removable silicone head makes the Satisfyer Pro 2 easy to clean and share.

If you’re a survivor I also advise caution when thinking of trying the Satisfyer Pro 2. This could be a wonderful purchase which reconnects you to your sexuality but it could also have the opposite effect—reminding you of the lack of control you might have felt during your experiences. As such if you are a survivor and you do want to try the Satisfyer Pro 2 then you may need to consider your current relationship with your body first or, if you have an awesome friend, borrow one if possible and try it first. As the Satisfyer Pro 2 is non-porous and very easy to clean there should be no hygiene issues should you chose to take this path.

What’s Changed?

While all of the above can apply to both the old and new version of the Satisfyer Pro 2 the new version offers some relatively subtle features changes which have still managed to transform my relationship with this toy in more profound ways than I could have anticipated.

The price and the appearance of the Satisfyer Pro 2 remains identical between both models. In fact when I place my classic Satisfyer Pro 2 down next to the new model there is absolutely nothing to discern them…that is until I turn the two on.

Two of the biggest complaints I saw lobbied against the Satisfyer Pro 2 (which I myself mentioned in my original review) were that this toy was incredibly powerful and incredibly noisy.

Quieter features are now available at the push of the Satisfyer Pro 2's buttons.
Quieter features are now available at the push of the Satisfyer Pro 2’s buttons.

Usually power is good from my perspective but the Satisfyer Pro 2 was so powerful that even the first setting was too incredibly intense for some people. Heck, I’d often just hold the Satisfyer Pro 2 slightly to the side of my clit and I’d still be riding its orgasm train as it pottered along with its rhythmic undulations. Great for a power queen, not-so-good for your average user.

And so in this redistribution Satisfyer made sure that the Satisfyer Pro 2 had much softer pulsation modes and started at the gentlest one when turned on. This is an incredibly huge change as it essentially makes the Satisfyer Pro 2 accessible to so many people now that otherwise would have simply found it too intense.

Having tried the new Satisfyer Pro 2 I can say that these gentler modes are a breath of fresh air and a welcome addition to the toy. Even the gentlest one can still get me to orgasm in under a minute but it really does feel gentle—like a polite patting rather than a forceful tug and tap.

This can be said about the second setting too (which is also wonderfully gentle and adds a bit more chug) but I will say that when ramping up to the third there is still a noticeable shift in oomph which might throw some people off their stride. As it stands this third setting is my favourite one to use, so I’m very appreciative of having these gentler modes to explore and fully expose my clitoris to without feeling overwhelmed. They really do make all the difference for me.

The second difference (and equally huge) is that the Satisfyer Pro 2 is now up to 90% quieter.

I cannot stress just how fantastic this change is. I really can’t.

Whereas I loved the sensations of the classic Satisfyer Pro 2 I found the noise to be incredibly distracting, to the point where it could pull me out of the moment. It also made it so that people who value discretion couldn’t purchase and enjoy a Satisfyer Pro 2 (a fate no one should have to face if they don’t want to).

The classic Satisfyer Pro 2 sounded like a whirring kitchen appliance on its way to the dust heap. The updated Satisfyer Pro 2 makes a teeny tiny rattling noise on its first few settings and ends up sounding like a standard vibrator buzzing come the end. Granted, this means that the Satisfyer Pro 2 still isn’t the completely whisper quiet vibrator that some would hope for, but the sound difference is impressive.

When applied these noises are even more muted and, at that point, I would even consider the Satisfyer Pro 2 to be a completely discreet vibrator, especially on the very lowest settings. I’m going to London this weekend to visit family and I know for sure that I’ll be bringing the updated Satisfyer Pro 2 because it’s the only toy I have that can give me an orgasm fast while staying completely discreet. None of my other toys can deliver that guarantee and because of this the updated Satisfyer Pro 2 truly is a stand-out toy in a sex of other options.

If discretion is your key concern, though, I do advise that you apply Satisfyer Pro 2 and turn it on and off while it’s still in place. That way noise will be kept to an absolute minimum allowing you to enjoy all of the fun without any of the fuzz that it being heard may cause.

So Should I Buy This Sex Toy?

Of course every user has different demands and the question still remains: Should I buy the updated Satisfyer Pro 2?

If you’ve never owned a Satisfyer Pro 2 before, feel like you fit within the preferences listed above, and generally like what you’ve heard in this review then I say yes. Go for it. 100%. You deserve this toy in your life.

However if you already own the original Satisfyer Pro 2 or have owned it and disliked it the answer becomes a bit trickier.

If your major concern with the Satisfyer Pro 2 was the fact that it was too powerful then I say give this updated version another chance. The newest settings are incredibly gentle while still providing the strong orgasms that are associated with the classic version. If, on the other hand, your main issue with the Satisfyer Pro 2 was the fact that its orgasms felt removed from your body then a few different intensities isn’t going to change this and you’re better off giving this toy a miss.

If sound was the only thing forcing you to return your Satisfyer Pro 2 then nab this toy up in a heartbeat. The Satisfyer Pro 2 is not what I would call a relatively quiet sex toy (with some easy tactics to make it even quieter) and you deserve to have this toy back in your life.

If you already own a Satisfyer Pro 2 then it really does come down to just how happy you are with your current model as to whether or not you can personally justify this upgrade. Is the noise an issue for you? Do you wish there were just a few gentler settings?

Personally my relationship dynamic with the updated Satisfyer Pro 2 vs the classic has completely shifted and I know this toy would have been worth the investment for me. The option to have those gentler settings is absolutely invaluable for the sensitivity of my clit and the change in volume means that I can finally fully enjoy the Satisfyer Pro 2 without being distracted by its noisy nature. These changes are so fundamental to me that it almost feels like a different sex toy and I couldn’t be happier with them.

Final Thoughts

Somehow Satisfyer have managed to take a toy that I already absolutely adored and make me love it with more passion that I thought a single toy could produce. The Satisfyer Pro 2 is the pinnacle of suction-based sex toys and its updated features just solidify its place at the top of the running.

I just wish it had a travel lock because now I want to take this toy with me everywhere. Me and the Satisfyer Pro 2, travelling the world together and making memories one discreet orgasm at a time.

Depending on your own circumstances this may be a journey you wish to embark upon with the Satisfyer Pro 2 too, or it could be that you’ve found a different path or are happy treading on the old road.

Whatever you choose I think it’s safe to say that Satisfyer know what they’re doing when it comes to the Satisfyer Pro 2 and I highly recommend this toy.

Great review!! Officially adding this to my wish list so that I might be able to have those discreet, spur-of-the-moment orgasms I’ve been craving!

  • Mattie

Very nice and through review. Is there still 11 vibration levels? – or would getting/waiting for the new/updated one mean that the strongest options got “left out”.(I don’t have any version of the Satisfyer.. yet :D) I haven’t been able to find any news about this updated version elsewhere :0

    • There are still 11 settings but they feel more evenly distributed and noticeable rather than compromising on the highest strength.
