Toy Review: The Sh! Dickie Dick 2 Dildo

You may have heard me mention it a few, oh…I don’t know, billion times before but I love myself a good coronal ridge. There’s just something so addictive about the rolling contour of this shape and how it catches against my vaginal wall which sends my G-Spot into a free-fall of sheer rapture.

That being said I’m not always in the mood for a ‘100% realistic’ toy. That’s not to knock the cock or anything, but sometimes the addition of veiny texture or skin-like silicone isn’t what I crave. Sometimes I just want a nice, smooth coronal ridge without all of the extra thrills and fanfare.

This is where something like the Sh! Dickie Dick 2 Dildo really fills the gap (quite literally on this occasion).

The Sh! Dickie Dick 2 Dildo

The Sh! Dickie Dick 2 Dildo is one of 6 in a range of Dickie Dick products which are handmade in London, England by the Sh! Team. This range has Dickies in 3 different sizes in addition to 3 that have room for a vibrating bullet. The Dickie Dick 2 is the happy medium of the bunch, providing 5 inches of playable length and a 1.5 inch diameter at its widest.

The Sh! Dickie Dick 2 is Sh!’s personal take on a ‘realistic’ dildo but without many of the dildo clichés that may be off-putting for some. This dildo may be rocking a firm shaft and a notable head (with curvature so cushy and curved that it can almost be described as cute) but gone are any overly pronounced veins, artificially exaggerated texture and ‘real feel’ material. This dildo is made from 100% body-safe silicone, making it non-porous, phthalate-free and completely body safe.

The Sh! silicone is somewhat of an acquired taste in my opinion. Without lubricant it feels almost rubbery, as it clings to your fingers when you go to stroke it, preventing even the gentlest of caresses. However once lubricated this near-glossy surface becomes smooth, slick, and perfect for longer sessions. As long as you have water-based lube to hand this surface will glide along with you late in to the night without a care in the world.

There’s a decent amount of squish to the Sh! silicone too without it being so soft that the toy loses its sense of firmness during use. Much like the Dickie Dick 2 itself, the Sh! silicone sits in the happy medium, providing a pleasing experience for most users. This squishy firmness also works very well with the arching curve and prominent head of the Dickie Dick 2, which may feel too extreme on a firmer toy.

Touching base is a gentler experience thanks to Sh's base design.

This softer touch works really well with the base of this toy too. The Dickie Dick 2 has a flared base, making it anal friendly and suitable for use with a harness. The base itself comes in Sh!’s signature heart-shaped design, which sits very well against the vulva compared to some other harness shapes. The silicone here is also a bit softer, has increased flexibility, and is generally more forgiving. This makes for a toy that’s really effective at maximizing comfort when used with a harness.

Buut, enough about the technical aspect, let’s get down to the sensations.

The prominent head of the Dickie Dick 2, coupled with its very rounded curvature is great not only for ease of insertion (with a noticeable, gasp-inducing dip as it slips in) but also for teasing the vulva beforehand. The section of the glans just above the frenulum is particularly effective for this, as it provides just enough of a textural difference to keep the clitoris engaged and aroused.

The head and coronal ridge on this toy are so curvaceous and puffy, it's adorable.

During use the curved shaft of the Dickie Dick 2 can easily locate the G-Spot with its coronal ridge rubbing nicely against it. Interestingly, because of the slick nature of the Dickie Dick 2’s silicone and its rather gentle design (compared to more angular ridge designs) the Dickie Dick 2’s coronal ridge actually feels rather gentle during use. It’s certainly there—a good thrust and you’ll have no doubt about that—but it’s not so in-you-face as to feel overpowering, or even that commanding. Because of this I actually think the Dickie Dick 2 is a great toy for those who want to experiment with realistic toys and more distinctive coronal ridges without going for anything too intense.

Despite being less dominant than I expected, the Dickie Dick 2’s coronal ridge was still more than enough to stimulate my G-Spot and bring me to strong, prolonged orgasms. I found the best results with the Dickie Dick 2 when grasping the base and giving it small, rapid jolts back and forth to really jiggle that coronal ridge in to action. This is a technique I highly recommend others try, as I thought I would actually squirt on more than one occasion.

There was an additional girthy element that I didn’t anticipate with the Dickie Dick 2 as well. Because the shaft gently widens as you go down there is a sense of expansion during use which makes the vagina feel fuller than it perhaps is. This is something I really appreciated and a welcome addition to this already fantastic toy.

With a simple but effective silicone toy like this there really isn’t much that can go wrong so most downsides are a case of personal preference.

Obviously if you prefer non-representational toys then this product isn’t for you. Thankfully Sh! has an entire range of abstract dildo designs which capture the eye as well as the imagination. These also come in varying shapes and sizes (many with a bullet option) meaning that a trip to the Sh! website is like being a kid in a candy shop.

People who prefer matte silicone or like to use dildos without lube may also find that the Dickie Dick 2 doesn’t work well for them. Lubricant is a game changer in most bedroom scenarios and this is the case with the Dickie Dick 2 too.

Perhaps the only objective downside that could be lobbied against this toy is a total dust and hair magnet (as my photos for this review painfully illustrate). But thankfully it’s also very easy to clean too. Antibacterial toy cleaner and a rinse, soap and water, or boiling. The choice is yours.

Final Thoughts

Overall I was incredibly impressed with the Dickie Dick 2 and recommend it to anyone who wants a ‘realistic’ dildo that doesn’t feel the need to be 100% true to life.

While this dildo didn’t provide the hard-core coronal ridge ride that I was expecting it did open me up to the gentler side of the coronal and is a fantastic dildo for easing users into the many benefits of this shape.

As always Sh! have provided an exceptional product and I feel that many people could get a lot of enjoyment out of this slick dildo. And, at £39 for a handmade silicone product, this dildo is incredibly affordable. So if you’re interested in this toy and you find yourself tempted then don’t miss a trick, grab the Dickie Dick.
