Toy Review: The Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator

With every passing day my transformation into a magical girl draws closer and closer and this sex toy is one solid step towards that dream.

Seriously, though, have you seen this toy? It’s adorable! If you’re a timid femme or a lustful Lolita than there really is no better toy in terms of aesthetics than the Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator. This is, without a doubt, the most darling vibrator I’ve ever been sent. Its cuteness knows no bounds and it would not look amiss at all as part of a Sailor Scout cosplay. I promise you.

However, at $103.99 the Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator is no small investment. Cute as it may be does this vibrator have the vibrations and general level of quality needed to justify its luxury price tag? Read on to find out.

The Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator

The Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator is a clitoral vibrator successfully masquerading as an adorable love heart made for solo and couple’s play. Primarily it seems like the Zalo Baby Heart is dedicated to self-loving, which is a refreshing approach to take.

This vibrator is an adorable addition to the collection of anyone who likes mid-level vibrations.
This vibrator is an adorable addition to anyone’s collection (but may not necessarily meet their personal needs).

DealsMachine.com sets the scene with the Baby Heart as one in which you ‘take a shower, close the door, turn off the light, lie on the bed’ and then enjoy the company that this vibrator provides. Granted some of their translations are a bit off (do not try and use this toy internally and never compare a sex toy to a human being please) but the focus on enjoying one’s own body is something that I can definitely appreciate.

Although marketed towards masturbation, the Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator is also, in my opinion, a fantastic couples toy and even better as a luxury gift between partners. The Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator has some of the most precious packaging I have ever seen and it’s simply perfect for gift giving. Golden hearts line the rim of the box while the front shows a display from a Lolita boutique, perfectly framed by fleur-de-lis. I know that if Mr. Peaches gave me this then my heart would be fluttering more than a bit.

The attention to detail on this storage box is almost unreal.

Open up the box and you’re greeted with a storage bag and charge cable wrapped beautifully with a lace ribbon, tied in to a perfect bow. Underneath the Baby Heart Vibrator itself waits, held lovingly in to place with a foam insert. It’s honestly impressive. In fact when I received the Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator I was so impressed by its packaging that I tweeted about it right away, such is the beauty of this toy and its trappings.

As I opened up this set I was greeted with increasingly beautiful sights before uncovering the toy itself.

The decorative element is definitely something that the Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator excels at. The vibrator itself looks gorgeous. Even its three control buttons (which are very easy to use, by the way) have their own decorative features. Zalo really doesn’t half ass anything. The logo is also that of Scorpio, which happens to be my star sign, so I’m a happy chappy too. And, of course, the entire vibrator is topped off at the bottom tip of the heart with an 18k gold plated metal chain finished with a heart-and-lace pendant. My inner femme is swooning.

A pendant attached to this vibrator adds to its stunning appearance.

‘Romantic enjoyment from vision to feeling’ is Zalo’s tagline, it seems, and they certainly succeed when it comes to their vision.

In terms of luxury perks the Zalo Baby Heart is rechargeable, waterproof, and relatively whisper quiet. It boasts having ‘Imported American Silicone’ and, while I’m not sure the origin of the silicone is relevant, I have to admit the silicone used is silky smooth and very inviting. The gold plating does give me cause for concern but overall this toy should be non-porous, phthalate-free, and completely body safe. The silicone itself has a matte surface which works well when stroked against the skin, again highlighting this toy’s preference for masturbation and a focus on gentle sensations.

This was probably a wise move to take by Zalo because power-wise the Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator is not the strongest (nor do I think it intends to be). Don’t get me wrong—the vibrations are deep, purring in frequency, and respectable—but this toy does lack a certain oomph which always leaves me personally wanting more during use. Due to the quality of the vibrations (which are reminiscent of a mid-level Lelo toy) I do think that this toy would be the perfect gift for someone who loves mid-level vibrations and stand-out/feminine sex toys, but power queens may find themselves unsatisfied by this vibe.

This was sadly the case for me. While I’m not incapable of enjoying the Zalo Baby Heart I tend to find that its focus on gentle, sweet, intimate self-exploration is a bit too twee for my vulva. My eyes may appreciate the delicate sentiments of this wonderful little toy but my vulva craves the unyielding force of a steel-handled wand. Because of this orgasms with the Zalo Baby Heart were never quite as exceptional as I would like and typically took longer than usual.

Again, if you prefer gentle-to-mid level vibrations or like taking your time when exploring your body then this toy is a great addition to your collection but, for me, it’s just lacking that last bit of power.

I also personally found that the heart shape of the Zalo Baby Heart didn’t sit very well on my vulva and I regularly had to reposition it. This was a particular nuisance when using a dildo too, as the two were vying for logistically pleasing space. Like a parrot I must squwak that this is ideal if you’re looking to explore your body, different angles, different sensations, etc. but it’s not for me. I do have to wonder if buying the Zalo Jeanne or Zalo Baby Star instead would remedy this problem too.

The Zalo Baby Heart comes in different colours too. Another pro among many.

Objectively I really can’t find much fault in this toy at all, which I’m very pleased to report. It even comes in four different pastel colours (including a mint green) so users aren’t restricted to the cliché of nothing but baby pink products. Again, the chain would probably be my own concern, and how it reacts to being exposed to lubricant and bodily fluids over time, but so far so good.

Final Thoughts

While the Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator was ultimately not for me I’m still blown away by the quality, functionality, and sheer beauty of this product.

The Zalo Baby Heart sets itself a goal and flawlessly meets it, adding a degree of flare to its accomplishments which would not go amiss in a cutesy anime. I absolutely adore this vibrator for this, even if I don’t personally see it as a go-to product for my body.

The Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator won’t be for everyone, however, for those who know they like cute, mid-level vibrators then this toy may very well be the Holy Grail.

Recommend to:

People who like Lolita culture.

People who like mid-level vibrators.

People who like heart shaped vibrators.

Do Not Recommend to:

People who need strong vibrators.

People who are looking for a gift item.

People who prefer very rumbly/very buzzy vibrators.

The Zalo Baby Heart Vibrator was provided to me by DealsMachine.com in exchange for an honest review. DealsMachine.com may look a bit unconventional but they actually sell some pretty awesome items (amidst some others) and I highly recommend checking their range of products out. The Zalo line itself is more than enough to check them out for.

Where has this company been all my life! And why did it take us this long to get super cute, girly toys? At least we have more and more companies like Tantus that recognize we don’t all want our packaging to be crass or overly suggestive. But this is the apotheosis of everything I’ve ever wanted from toy branding and packaging (yes, I am into Harajuku Lolita fashion!) As a recovered vaginismus sufferer, I love their focus on female enjoyment as natural, sweet, and not dirty. More of this everywhere, please. (There’s actually some research into vaginismus that suggests, for a lot of sufferers, the problem involves an excessive overlap of arousal and disgust responses.)

I’m good with mid-level power–I like my Magic Wand Rechargeable best on the lowest settings and patterns. But I feel like some of the other models from this line are more practically-shaped than the heart.

    • I adore lolita style too and was overwhelmed by just how adorable this product is!
Thank you for your considered comment and for your insights in to Vaginismus. I knew about the link between arousal and disgust but had not personally considered how tamer or cuter looking sex toys might help mitigate that. You rock!
