Toy Review: The Lust by Jopen L2.5 Clitoral Vibrator

I feel like the Lust L2.5 and L2 are the hipster vibes of the sex toy community (in the best way possible). Up until later last year these two vibrators were pretty much unmentioned when it came to reviewer opinion. Then wonderful bloggers like Peep, Dizzy and Girly Juice lent their endorsements to the toys and suddenly my eyes were opened to the potential of this tiny little vibe.

It’s somewhat unsurprising that the Lust L2.5 lived in relative obscurity too. While I adore the Lust L2.5 for looking like a miniature version of the Swan Wand, it’s not hard to easily overlook this tiny toy in a sea of clitoral vibrators. With so many clitoral vibrators on the market it’s hard for any one vibrator to truly stand out unless it has already been hailed by bloggers as iconic.

Thankfully that’s exactly what the aforementioned bloggers have done in regards to the L2.5 and L2, and now I stand among them as a firm fan of this miniature marvel. A small stature is not always indicative of a weak end product and when the L2.5 is running on max magic happens.

The Lust by Jopen L2.5 Clitoral Vibrator

The Lust L2.5 may look innocuous but it actually has a lot to offer. Designed to hug against the clitoris the gently curved design of the Lust L2.5 allows it to perfectly nestle in between the labia and provide an almost hugging sensation. Alternatively users can angle the Lust L2.5 to provide pin point sensations or flip it around for a less contoured masturbation experience. The Lust L2.5 measures in at an adorable 4 inches in length, and it fits perfectly into the palm of my hand. The adorable element of the Lust L2.5 (the mini-Swan, as I call it) was certainly a factor for why I was drawn to this toy myself but it’s also reassuring to know that the Lust L2.5 has more than just an aesthetic appeal.

Pretty and pretty practical. It also comes in green too!
Pretty and pretty practical. (It also comes in green too!)

The slight raised ridges on the Lust L2.5 is the main feature that distinguishes it from the L2 and I was happy to find that these were also functional. Providing a gentle amount of stimulation, this subtle texture does draw more attention to the surface of the Lust L2.5, which, in turn, makes it a more compelling toy during use. However the texture is also subtle enough that it’s not necessarily required. You could go for the L2 if it were your preference and I don’t think you’d be missing out on too much.

The Lust L2.5 is made out of silicone—making it phthalate-free, non-porous and completely body safe. This silicone is smooth and sports a matte surface which allows for the perfect amount of drag to grab the attention of the clitoris. It also lubes up very well.

Speaking of lube the Lust L2.5 is actually quite easy to hold on to, even with slippery hands, which I’m grateful for. This is most likely facilitated by the design of the Lust L2.5; in which the chunkier end is actually where the control button is. I did initially think that this end would be good for providing a broader end to use against the vulva but the vibrations don’t carry through it as well as they do the intended end, so that’s a little bit disappointing.

The control button for the Lust L2.5 also deserves credit for making this toy easy-to-use. With a single button control system all you have to do is press the button to turn the Lust L2.5 on and press and hold it to gradually increase the intensity of the vibrations. Oh and it also has a travel lock, for good measure. This increases the portability of the Lust L2.5 (which is already a damned decent travel vibe due to its size).

The texture on this vibrator is nice but nothing to shout home about.

The Lust L2.5 is also 100% submersible and is rechargeable via USB. The bad news here is that 2.5 hours of charge will only get you 30 minutes on the high speed, which isn’t ideal at all. However this charge can last up to 3 hours if you stick to lower speeds, so people who prefer a lighter touch may find that the Lust L2.5 is more to their tastes.

Providing the good vibrations is where the Lust L2.5 really stands out. This vibrator has enough oomph in its motor to compete with iconic vibes such as the Mia 2 and the Tango. These vibrations start out as a very rumbly hum which causes the vibrator to visibly quiver. As these vibrations increase they gain an impressive depth, but do become a bit more rapid too. This leads to vibrations that are resonant but not necessarily rumbly. However they’re not buzzy either and, instead create a merging of a predominant shiver and an underlying hum.

These vibrations, while powerful, are also quite quiet too. Not necessarily whisper quiet but still discreet enough to allow for covert use. This is fantastic news for people who crave strong vibrations but value discretion.

My orgasms with the Lust L2.5 have been consistently fantastic and I have never failed to have a strong finish with this vibrator.

Size really does matter and the Lust L2.5 knows how to utilize its slimmer measurements. Because it’s so small this vibrator is great during partnered use, and also makes using a dildo a lot easier than when I wield a wand. I also get a sneaking suspicion that this vibrator would be good for people who suffer with vaginismus and are experimenting with dilators and insertable toys. With a maximum insertable circumference of 2.75 inches (and a chunky handle which acts as a stopping point) the Lust L2.5 is a toy that I know I would have coveted when suffering from vaginismus myself.

For the experimenting sufferer of vaginismus this toy could have even more potential.

For me the biggest down side of this vibrator is the small run-time that it provides on high. I’m a power queen so I’m always worried that it’s going to die on me. So far this hasn’t happened but it’s always at the back of my mind during use.

One could say that the single button design is also a downside. For one it doesn’t allow you to alternate between high and low vibration intensities without turning the toy off and readjusting, which can be a mood killer. As the Lust L2.5 is turned off with a single press of the button accidentally turning it off is a real concern. I have done this once. It was followed by a lamenting sigh.

I also would have liked to see this toy come with a small travel bag, but that’s just sex toy snobbery really. Overall the pros of this toy really do outweigh the cons, which are objectively minor.

Final Thoughts

Overall I’m thrilled with the Lust by Jopen L2.5 and would gladly recommend it to anyone who wants a clitoral vibrator with similar power levels to the Tango. At around $49.99 the Lust L2.5 is very affordable for what it offers, too, making it a very enticing vibrator.

If you’re looking for a small-but-mighty clitoral vibrator then I highly recommend the Lust L2.5. That’s all there is to it.

Recommend to:

People looking for an affordable clitoral vibrator.

People looking for a strong clitoral vibrator.

People who like hybrid vibrations.

Do Not Recommend to:

People who dislike small/curved clitoral vibrators.
