Product Review: Meo Cock Candy Oral Gel

Let me sum up this range of oral gels for you in a single picture:

Ah, yes, can you feel your mouth salivating? Because I certainly can.

As a loud and proud blow job enthusiast I couldn’t wait to try Meo’s oral gels and I wasn’t disappointed. The Meo range of Cock Candy Oral Gel is one of the best oral lines that I have had the pleasure to review. However, this gel isn’t going to be for everyone. It’s specifically designed for those with a sweet tooth and a fancy for phallus.

If candy is your sugary treat of choice then I honestly can’t think of a better range than this oral gel. Let me tell you why.

About Meo

Meo have been in business since 1997 and, in that time, they’ve learnt how to satisfy their customers pretty damned well.

Meo’s slogan is ‘Makes you come’ and they stock a wide variety of products to meet that promise. Meo stocks serious toys for serious players, and there’s a lot to love about its products.

Service, discretion and professionalism are at the heart of Meo and I’ve really felt this while working with them. My correspondence at Meo has been a consistent joy to work with and their enthusiasm for all things sex-based really shines through.

As an aside Meo also sent me flowers on my Birthday. Can you believe it? A whole bunch! Now, Meo didn’t have to do this, but they did, because they like to go the extra mile.

I also subscribed to the Meo newsletter to see what they had to offer and the answer is a lot. Discounts, new releases, updates, Meo has it all and each email has a friendly atmosphere to it.

Meo offers shipping to pretty much most of the western world at very reasonable prices. My Meo parcels arrived very quickly and were discreetly packaged.

I wholeheartedly recommend Meo and feel that they go above and beyond to make sure that their customer base is happy.

The Meo Cock Candy Oral Gel Range

The Meo Cock Candy Oral Gel is a lubricant optimised for oral use. While Cock Candy can be used as a lubricant during PiV sex, I personally think that doing so is a disservice to the product. I mean, who would want to waste the juicy treat that this range of lubricants provides on anything else?

The Cock Candy range is mouth-wateringly good.

Each Cock Candy flavour comes in an easy-to-use tube of 30ml. If I could only give Meo one bit of feedback for this range, it would be to make larger bottle sizes available for it. I totally want a huge tube of Strawberry-Kiwi or Vanilla, but I digress.

Meo’s Cock Candy is a water-based, gel-like lubricant, making it completely latex-friendly, so you can pop on a condom if you’d like. Each Cock Candy Gel has its own unique flavour and, along with it, a unique colouration, which I adore. There’s just something incredibly appealing about making your partner’s penis bright green. This colourful aspect also adds to the candy element of these oral lubes; it’s almost as if you’re giving your partner a sugary glaze, creating a performative element to the whole affair.

When reviewing lubricants I would typically talk about their aroma but it’s kind of a moot point with these lubes. Each of them smells like their respective flavours, as you would expect. While I won’t comment on the individual scents I will say that each and every one was appealing to me. I licked my lips as I opened the tubes and smelt what I was soon to sample. It was like aromatic foreplay in the best possible way.

This gel-like lubricant has the perfect consistency for oral adventures.

The lubricant itself is a gel but it isn’t too thick. Nor is it too runny. It manages to make the perfect balance between the two. During use this gel easily spreads along the user’s skin and manages to stay firmly in place but it never really sticky. It’s easy enough to wash off afterwards too, as it’s water-soluble.

This lubricant manages to perform exceptionally when it comes to its primary purpose. The flavours of the lubricant are easy to taste, but are never too sharp or too strong. Meanwhile a little lube can go a long way and the flavour and slide of the lubricant lasts for an impressive amount of time during use.

One thing I will say is that this lubricant doesn’t perform as well during long handjobs or PiV intercourse. It’s made for oral use and this is really what it is best used for. But, hey, you can’t fault a product for doing exactly what it set out to achieve.

Each flavour has something different to offer.
Each flavour has something different to offer.

When it comes to the flavours they are incredibly sweet. I liken it to a Haribo party bag in terms of flavour sensations. If you don’t like sweet, candy flavours then this lubricant might not be for you. However, if you’re candy crazy then this is the perfect product range for you. Let me break down my experience with each flavour:

Strawberry-Kiwi: This was the first of the flavours that I sampled and I was instantly sold on it. Reminiscent of strawberry gummy laces but with a slightly fizzy tang to it, this lube is a saccharine seduction incarnate. The kiwi flavour doesn’t immediately come across but it can be detected in the after taste, complementing the strong taste of strawberry that this lubricant provides. One of my favourites from the range.

Vanilla: My other favourite from the range. This flavour reminds me of those ready-made kits of vanilla cupcakes that you can find in supermarkets. Vanilla can sometimes be hard for me to swallow but there’s no such problem with this sweet treat. Rich, smooth, and oh so sweet, this is the only vanilla treat I need in my life. However, it is one of the sweetest flavours in the range, so keep that in mind if you’re tempted to buy.

Cherry: Back to the gummy sweets, this cherry lubricant could be straight out of a Haribo packet. The cherry flavour is immediately recognisable and tastes almost glazed. Cherry as a flavour is rather bold but never too sugary and, as such, the sweetness of this lubricant (while still present) isn’t as prominent as the others in this range. Don’t get me wrong, though, it’s still a sweet treat, but its rich cherry taste takes centre stage.

Strawberry: While I was expecting this flavour to taste like strawberry laces too it actually tastes more like strawberry sherbet. Again, while sweet, this taste sensation does have its own tang to it that doesn’t make it a total sugar overload. While I can easily lap this lube up I have to admit that I actually prefer the Strawberry-Kiwi flavour, which tastes juicer to me.

Pina Colada: To me this flavour tastes like Haribo Milk Bottles infused with Pina Colada. This lubricant is incredibly creamy, very soft, and comes with a sweet coconut and pineapple combo which melts in your mouth. While this flavour cannot be faulted it is probably my least favourite of the bunch, mainly because I’m not a fan of creamy tastes (or Milk Bottles for that matter).

So those are my individual appraisals of the Cock Candy flavour sensation.

It should also be noted that none of these lubricants has a nasty aftertaste or chemical tang. Each of them stayed delicious throughout use and, while I may have my favourites, I still really enjoy all of them.

These have easily become some of my favourite oral lubes in terms of flavour.

It’s fair to say that Cock Candy has won me over. But are there any downsides? Well, yes.

The biggest downside I can see with the Cock Candy range is its list of ingredients. ‘Cock Candy’ may just be a punchy product name but it’s also a good bit of advice. With ingredients like Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Sacharin and added Aroma these lubricants could cause irritation for those who have a sensitive vulva and vagina or for those that are prone to UTIs. Because of this Cock Candy is probably best used for fellatio instead of cunnilingus unless you’re sure that those ingredients don’t affect you.

However, this is pretty much the only downside that I could find with this lubricant range (outside of wanting larger portions of course), which is rather impressive to my mind.

Final Thoughts

Overall I am very happy with the Cock Candy range and can see it becoming part of my oral sex menu for a long time to come. When I run out of my tester bottles I plan to buy more and I’ll probably buy the Value Pack to save on money.

The lubricants are sweet, slippery and full of flavour. What more could a person want?
