Toy Review: Lovehoney Desire Luxury USB Rechargeable G-Spot Vibrator

Desire is the perfect term for how I feel about this toy. From the moment I held it in my hands and pressed the + button I craved this vibrator. The strength I felt in the shaft was something that I longed for, and with good reason. Lovehoney has delivered an exceptional G-Spot vibrator here and I am so happy that I can share this news with you.

The Lovehoney Desire G-Spot Vibrator has everything you could want from a toy like this: a great shape, a lot of power, and more than a dash of luxury.

The Lovehoney Desire Luxury USB Rechargeable G-Spot Vibrator

The Lovehoney Desire G-Spot Vibrator shows promise right from the get-go. Included with this deluxe sex toy is a sturdy storage case. This case has ample room for the Desire G-Spot Vibrator and could probably house more toys if you wanted it to. The storage case also has a hole in it which allows you to feed the charging cord through it. This allows you to charge the Desire G-Spot Vibrator without worrying about visibility, which is fantastic. The case also has the capacity to be locked, though a lock is not included.

This product is well-worth the price.

In terms of aesthetics the Desire G-Spot Vibrator is near-faultless. An impressive G-Spot bulb is followed by a smooth, silicone shaft and a beautifully simply control panel. The only thing that interrupts the flow of silicone is a bar of faux-metallic ABS plastic, which creates a distinctively luxe appearance.

With an insertable length of about 6 inches and a total length of 9 inches the Desire G-Spot Vibrator is a rather sizeable vibrator which should be able to satisfy most people in terms of length. The bulb at the top of this toy comes out at a 5 inch circumference maximum while the minimum and maximum circumference of the shaft are 4.25 and 5 inches respectively. This makes the Desire G-Spot Vibrator accessible for most people.

The silicone for this vibrator is something to shout about. Silky smooth and entirely body-safe, you really cannot go wrong with how this vibrator feels against the skin. The control panel is made from equally appealing silicone, making using this toy pleasant on both ends. This silicone isn’t overly draggy and dust and fur don’t cling to it. Two favourable aspects.

In terms of luxuries the Desire G-Spot Vibrator is entirely submersible and is rechargeable via USB. 120 minutes of charge time gets you 60 minutes of use, which is pretty respectable. It also has a travel lock feature.

And let's not forget this little perk.
And let’s not forget this little perk.

There are three control buttons and they’re incredibly easy to operate. There is a simple + and – button to turn the toy on and off and a middle button to sift through its patterns. The Desire G-Spot Vibrator has 8 patterns and 12 levels of vibration intensity, making for a very versatile user experience.

While I don’t typically like patterns I did enjoy some of the patterns that the Desire G-Spot Vibrator had to offer, especially the pulsating ones.

The patterns in this vibrator are heavily aided by its dual-motor system. One motor resides mid-shaft while the other is closer to the bulb and they both provide different sensations. The one mid-shaft is more of a support motor, if you ask me: it’s reliable at humming along at a fairly resonant level but it lacks substantial oomph. However, the motor in the bulb packs a considerable amount of punch. It is rumbly and has depth to it. Together the two bounce off of each other to create an upsurge of sensations. These two motors complement each other perfectly and I feel like this is a better vibrator for having them both.

Because of the strength that this toy provides I couldn’t help but try it on my clitoris first. It’s fair to say that this toy performs equally well in this capacity as it does as an internal vibrator, and I mean that in the best way possible. It is so easy for me to orgasm with this vibrator because the vibrations are so impressive and take the exact right form needed to tip me over the edge. But I digress.

This bulb is fantastic during use.
This bulb is fantastic during use.

Internally this vibrator’s bulb also comes into play and Lovehoney have done fantastically with its design. Admittedly the shape of the bulb makes it hard to thrust with this toy but that’s fine; a head like that is better suited to a persistent wiggle anyway. There is no mistaking when this toy makes contact with my G-Spot, as it does it with such prowess that I’m often left feeling close to climax before even getting started. Prolonged use, however, provides a more fulfilling build-up of pressure which makes you feel like your orgasm were, in fact, an explosion of pure delight (which it essentially is).

I don’t like strong vibrations when using toys internally, but I get the feeling that the Desire G-Spot Vibrator’s 12 different intensities should cater to most people’s needs. Personally I only need to use the third of fourth level to have intense orgasms. At times I would describe them as downright overwhelming. All enveloping.

These orgasms not only feel deep but they also last for a phenomenal amount of time. Sometimes minutes will go by and I’ll still be in the throes of climax, as I gently wiggle this vibrator’s head to maximum effect.

So, with such an exceptional vibrator are there any downsides? Well, a few.

While this vibrator is very good at locating my G-Spot, as if it had camped there for months, it does sometimes struggle to maintain persistent contact. I feel this might be because this vibrator lacks a drastic curve, which could have given it more of an edge. But I get it; the Desire G-Spot Vibrator is meant to cater to a lot of individuals and not all of them want a sharp curve. This I can forgive.

The buttons on this toy can also be a little sensitive and easy to accidentally press at times. The main reason I know I like the patterns on this vibrator is because I accidentally pressed the patterns button instead of the lower down – button. But hand positioning is something that users will perfect with practice.

On a more important note this toy is not quiet. Like, at all. It has power and it wants you to know it, not just through feeling but also through the audible humming that it creates. You’ll need to be under the sheets, have a thick door & walls, or play music when using this toy. Discretion is not its strong point.

When all is said and done those are my only gripes with the Desire G-Spot Vibrator and to me they seem perfectly miniscule when compared to the momentous pleasure that it can give me.

Final Thoughts

In case you hadn’t guessed already I really like this vibrator. So much so that I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone with a G-Spot. To be a bit more specific, though, if you like strong vibrations and toys with a bulbous head then this product is a must. If you’re not so keen on the shape, at the very least, then I understand why you might not be as enthusiastic as I am.

Still, the Lovehoney Desire Luxury USB Rechargeable G-Spot Vibrator feels so good to me that I want to shout it from the rooftops. I love this toy and I just can’t help it. Desire comes in many shapes and sizes, mine just happens to cater to the G-Spot.

  • Great review!

Hmm. Half price of Mona 2. How do the vibrations compare?

    • I’d say that the Mona 2’s vibrations are smoother, which makes them a different beast to tackle altogether. However I prefer the Desire’s vibrations because they have more of a rumble to them.

Oh, I just saw these on Lovehoney and I want this one especially. I also think I would enjoy the little clitoral vibe and maybe the wand too. I like power inside and out and I think this would really hit the spot for me! I love dual-motor vibrators, the Lelo Elise 2 is my favorite but the one thing it lacks is a bulb like the Desire.
