Toy Review: The ElectraStim Silicone Noir Nona G-Spot Electro Probe

If you had told me a year ago that I was regularly shock my vagina for pleasure I would have run a mile, and yet I can’t get enough of it now. My ElectraStim Lula Balls are still a firm favourite of mine and I relish in the sensations that they provide. The electro stimulator used to power them—the ElectraStim Flick EM60-E—is an asset that I greatly appreciate and wouldn’t hesitate recommending to those wondering about electroplay.

With such a persistent enthusiasm ElectraStim products I decide to request another item from them which had caught my eye—the Nona G-Spot Electro Probe. ElectraStim kindly obliged and now I get to share my experience with all of you.

Let’s get to it!

The ElectraStim Silicone Noir Nona G-Spot Electro Probe

To start off I should mention that the first Nona that I got had a fault in it and had to be replaced. According to ElectraStim this is the first time they’ve had any issues with a Nona so this was just bad luck on my part. The replacement came in no time and was flawless. Thanks ElectraStim Team!

The Nona is a perfect little probe.
The Nona is a perfect little probe.

The Silicone Noir Nona G-Spot Electro Probe arrives in a practical little box that lets you know a bit about electro stimulation and how the Nona is used. Essentially electro stimulation, when used internally, will cause a slight tingling sensation that will make your muscles clench with the shocks. This may sound scary at first but electro stimulation is as tame or as extreme as you want it to be. ElectraStim’s stimulators offer an amazing amount of control and allow you to decide every aspect of your experience.

Inside the box the Nona is hugged up in some foam and sealed in plastic. The Nona doesn’t come with its own storage bag but that wasn’t an issue for me because my ElectraStim Flick EM60-E came with a nice box that works well for storage.

The Nona is a bi-polar toy, meaning it requires two 2mm pins to run which are inserted into the base of the Nona. Although the Nona is pitched as a vaginal probe it does have a flared base, making it suitable for anal use.

As its name suggests, the ElectraStim Silicone Noir Nona is made out of stroke-worthy silicone which is phthalate-free, non-porous and generally body safe. This silicone feels quite grabby without lube and has a powdery-matte surface. As you can probably see from my photos, the Nona does have a noticeable seam to it but this can’t be felt during use so I don’t personally find it to be an issue.

The design of the Nona is something that I really appreciate. At just over 4 inches in length and with a maximum circumference of about 4.5 inches the Nona isn’t meant to fill you up but, instead, effectively locate and stimulate your G-spot. To aid in this endeavour the Nona has a few raised ridges on its head, adding a little bit of texture to the toy.

This little bit of texture goes a long way.
This little bit of texture goes a long way.

Mr. Peaches and I tried the Nona three different ways between us. I tried is as a vaginal plug—with and without using electro stimulation—whereas Mr. Peaches tried it as electro stimulating butt plug.

As a no frills vaginal plug the Nona works amazingly well (and sometimes I even prefer it this way, depending on my mood). The slight curve of the Nona coupled with its large head makes reaching the G-spot effortless. Meanwhile that little bit of texture really does make all the difference—making the toy feel more prominent and enhancing sensation. I don’t know how the Nona would fare without this little bit of texture but I’m certainly glad that it’s there.

Because the Nona is more of a probe than a dildo it plugs perfectly into my vagina and comfortably stays in place, leaving both of my hands free for other activities. This is just a nice bonus when not using the Nona with an electro stimulator but becomes invaluable when you do use one—as it allows you to control the electro stimulation with one hand while controlling a clitoral vibe with the other.

Orgasms with the non-electro stimulated Nona feel really great. The pressure on my G-spot is just enough to provide a deep, fulfilling orgasm which lasts for a reasonable amount of time. It’s a testament to the design of this toy that it works well before it’s even been turned on and I’m incredibly happy with how it performs.

Hook the Nona up to experience brand new types of sensation.
Hook the Nona up to experience brand new types of sensation.

Of course once you do start using the electro-stimulation then a whole new set of sensations open up with the Nona. When we orgasm involuntary muscle contractions happen as part of the natural feel-good process. Once you hook your Nona up to an ElectraStim Electro Stimulator and turn it on a very similar thing happens, which promotes arousal. It’s a very weird sensation at first and one that is best felt by using the various patterns that your stimulator provides instead of dwelling on the standard mode.

When it comes to these sensations the Nona is a very forgiving attachment. I couldn’t even feel my muscles contracting until I got halfway through the stimulator’s intensity settings and, even then, it was never unpleasant. Given some time and arousal I could easily go up to the max setting on my stimulator with the Nona and still be feeling nothing but very strong (and enjoyable) muscle contractions. There was no discomfort at any point.

For me these muscle contractions are an equal turn on exactly because they remind me of an orgasm. When I clench my muscles voluntarily I get a similar feeling of arousal but having a toy force the clenches makes it feel even more potent.

My orgasms with the Nona turned on were also amazing. They were as intense as before but with the added element of the muscle contractions. These blended in with my orgasm, creating a flurry of satisfying contractions that perfectly complemented each other. Because my vaginal muscles were getting a bit of a boost with the shocks I also found that orgasms this way lasted for a very long time, which felt divine.

Mr. Peaches also adored this toy, though he found that he couldn’t ramp up the intensity as much as I could. The butt can be a very sensitive place so this is understandable, but is still something to keep in mind for strictly anal-only users. As this toy does have quite a large head Mr. Peaches found it was best used after warming up and said he wouldn’t recommend it to anal beginners. Take as much as you’re comfortable with, I think is the best advice to give.

In terms of sensation the Nona hit the P-spot for Mr. Peaches with as much precision as it did my G-spot. This was enough to gain Mr. Peaches’ approval but the electro stimulation was the real star of the show for him. Causing his muscles to clench it forced further stimulation with each contraction and intensified the experience for him. Overall it’s a toy that Mr. Peaches definitely enjoyed using, even if he requires a warm up to comfortably do so.

It should be noted that this toy could also be used as a kegel exerciser. You could either let the electro stimulation do all the work or join in to be more active—clenching in time with the contractions. The Nona works perfectly fine for this but as I have the Lula Beads I don’t really need to use the Nona this way.

When it comes to downsides the Nona only has a few.

Personally I get really uncomfortable when Mr. Peaches uses the Nona anally because the base seems so small to me. It’s 2.25 inches in length which just seems a bit too little for me. Mr. Peaches has no concerns, though, so maybe I’m just being a Nervous Nelly.

I kind of wish that the Nona was set up similarly too the Lula Beads, too, where the pins were attached to two chords that extended outwards from the toy instead of the toy’s base. Having the pins right there did make me worry a bit about accidentally tugging them out if I closed and wiggled my thighs around during use. Thankfully this never happened and the Nona keeps the pins firmly in place, but I still would have preferred it if there was a bit of distance.

On a more practical note the Nona is a bit of a dust magnet so it does require a good clean before and after use. Personally I use toy cleaner and wet wipes, but a slightly dampened cloth would also work.

You will need one of these.
You will need one of these.

The only other downside of the Nona (if you can call it that) is that it requires an electro stimulator to work. This means that if you want the £49.00 Nona then you also need to purchase the £99 ElectraStim Flick EM60-E. This does make for a pricey investment but if you like electro stimulation then it’s certainly worth it—as the Flick can accommodate a myriad of other attachments.

Final Thoughts

Overall I really the liked the ElectraStim Silicone Noir Nona G-Spot Electro Probe. It’s a rather versatile toy and seemed to excel during use, no matter what task it was employed for.

If you already know that you like electro stimulation and you love G-spot toys then there’s a lot to love about the Nona. Peeps with a prostate can also get some wonderful sensations from this product, though they may need to warm up to it.

All things considered it should be no shock that I highly recommend this toy. Try one yourself if you have the chance!
